Expertise….

Shahin’s practice is predominantly in the fields of company and commercial. Her expertise lies in company sales, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, small business sales, contractual agreements (including shareholders agreement, share options, business franchises), corporate finance and funding, invoice discounting, commercial property and leases.

Shahin acts for a broad spectrum of clients from sole traders and partnerships through to medium and large sized private limited companies.

Background…

Shahin studied Business Law at Huddersfield University and after a position with National Westminster Bank as a senior lending officer she completed her postgraduate and legal training in 2003. She has worked for leading national and regional law firms including DLA solicitors and Addleshaw Booth (now Addleshaw Goddard). Shahin joined Haworth & Nuttall in 2006 as an assistant solicitor, being promoted to associate in 2008.

A typical day…

“ This starts with a strong dose of coffee whilst checking and responding to e-mails and voice-mails. The remainder of the day tends to be made up of meetings with clients and sometimes their financial advisors, working on mergers and acquisitions and due-diligence/ documentation for a deal. In addition I spend time drafting and amending contractual documentation and negotiations with other parties’ solicitors.”

First day at Haworth & Nuttall….
